The process of choosing a building's energy supply system is as follows.
The scope of the analysis is adapted to the complexity of the design of the building and the type of technology that can be used. The following scope of analysis was taken in terms of environmental and economic aspects:
For the buildings without cooling systems and where none of the cases considered provides for combined heat and power generation, only emissions and costs associated with the heat supply for the building should be determined.
For the buildings with cooling systems and where none of the cases considered provides for combined heat and power generation, the emissions and costs associated with the heat and cooling for air conditioning purposes supply should be determined.
Where combined heat and power is involved in at least one of the cases considered, the issue and costs of supplying the building with electricity shall also be taken into account.
The emission is determined according to PN-EN 15603: 2008 (U) and the economic criterion is Life Cycle Cost (LCC).
